Our Non Food products

We have a small section of non-food items that help you get a little closer to living a zero-waste life. These include; cleaning products, cloth sandwich wraps, bamboo cutlery, soy wax wraps, lunch tiffins, metal straws, cotton bulk bags, canvas bags, mooncups, washable feminine care, wooden toothbrushes, stainless steel razors, toothpaste, bamboo floss, canvas bags, mason jars, tea caddies and mesh tea strainers. We had great fun researching the non-food items and discovered a whole bunch of innovative, earth conscious companies that impressed us with their ideas. Here are some snippets of information to show you why we are proud to stock their products.

+ Eco Femme Reusable Sanitary Pads  A range of washable sanitary pads made by a community project in India. Eco Femme are given a £1 donation for every pad sold in the UK, which goes towards funding free reuseable sanitary pads for girls in India, who otherwise are unable to attend school during their periods. The project provides work for the adult women, and through the ‘pad for pad’ programme, accessibility to education for teenage girls.

+ Our toothbrush range is supplied by Hydrophil, a German company that ‘are in love with water’ (the word hydrophilic comes from Greek and means: water loving) . They believe ‘we all need water- this wonderful resource- to live, every living being arises from a drop of water. To have future generations profit from our water we want to use, domesticate and pollute as little water as possible.’ Therefore all Hydrophils products are water—neutral, vegan and fair trade.

+ In 10 years the average woman will use 3600 tampons or pads, that’s a lot of waste! Using an Organicup eliminates toxic waste from landfill and gives you a reusable, chemical free alternative that’s free from glue, bleach, perfume, chlorine and lotion, making it healthier for you and the planet. Organicup also consciously designed their packaging; printing the instructions on the inside of the box, eliminating the need for a leaflet!

+ Wild and Sage shampoo bars are made in Julie's workshop in an old coverted barn surrouned by her cottage garden where she grows lavender, marigolds, chamomille, rosemary and many other herbs that she dries, chops and infuses to make her soaps. They are 100% natural, making them kind to your skin and to the planet. This one simple bar can replace your plastic shampoo bottle and it lasts for such a long time!
