Plastic Free July

For those taking part in Plastic Free July, tomorrow marks the start of an eye-opening month as you tirelessly try to live without plastic for 31 days. It seems easy at first glance but as you frustratingly navigate the aisles of the supermarket looking for something without disposable plastic, you soon become alarmed that we are indeed drowning in plastic.

The problems we face can often seem overwhelming, and it is easy to loose sight of the impact that each individual can have on what is essentially a global epidemic. We are here to remind you of the power of one! All it takes is one person, to make one small change and the effects will ripple around the world. For the next 31 days we will be using our social media as a platform to offer you tips and information that will (hopefully) make your Plastic Free July much more attainable.

You will find lots of information on the Plastic Free July website, the Plastic Pollution Coalition website and by following the #plasticfreejuly threads. Lets use this challenge as a benchmark for how we want to live in the future. Please talk about it at work, with your neighbours and over the dinner table. The more people that know about it, the better our chances of creating change will be. Feel free to use our facebook page as a space to offer ideas/ask for help, we are all in this together and each straw, bag, cup and packet we refuse is a message sent up the chain that we CAN and we WILL live without disposable plastic! Good luck!
